Port Authority is continuing to investigate a morning accident in which two NJ Transit buses collided on the New York side of the Lincoln Tunnel, officials said.

Spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said the accident occurred at around 10 a.m. when one bus rear ended the other. One bus originated from Oradell on bus route No.165 while the other originated from Wayne on bus route No. 193.

Snyder said that nine of the 25 customers on bus route No. 193 had non-threatening injuries while there were 23 non-life threatening injuries to customers on bus route No. 165.

Traffic was delayed at the time of the accident but it was cleared by noon, Rodrigues said.
