$202 million Mega Millions winning ticket sold in Middlesex County

Someone in the Garden State just jumped into a whole new tax bracket.

One lucky ticket sold in Middlesex County matched all six numbers in Tuesday night's $202 million Mega Millions drawing and that ticket was sold in New Jersey. The ticket was sold at Quick Stop Food Store in Edison.

The winning numbers drawn on Feb. 11 were 4, 6, 32, 52 and 64, plus the gold Mega Ball 6. The lucky ticket holder wins the estimated $202 million jackpot ($142.2 million cash), according to the lottery website.

The soon-to-be millionaire will have the choice of taking the estimated $202 million in annuitized payments or a cash option of $142.2 million.

A ticket sold in West Virginia also matched the five white balls to win $1 million.

We may never know who in New Jersey just became a millionaire thanks to a law recently signed by Gov. Phil Murphy that allows lottery winners to stay anonymous.

Until recently, lottery winners in New Jersey were required to be identified, but now winners will be able to stay anonymous under a the new law.

The jackpot will reset to $40 million for Friday night's drawing with a cash option of $28.1 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on Dec. 17 when a lottery player in Ohio won $373 million.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot is at $70 million with a cash option of $49.8 million, according to the lottery website.
