Two sent to hospital after Verona crash

Two people were hospitalized following a crash in Verona late Monday afternoon, May 15, according to police.

Two cars collided when one appeared to try to turn off of a side street onto Pompton Avenue around 3:30 p.m., according to Capt. Stephen DePoe. 

Of the three passengers between the vehicles, two were hospitalized and one refused medical attention, DePoe said. The Verona Rescue Squad responded with the police.

DePoe said the accident remained under investigation and he did not have further details.
