An investigation that started in early June yielded six Passaic County arrests on child pornography charges, officials announced on Friday.

According to Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik, the arrests included:

  • Joseph Di Donato III, 20, of Wayne. He was arrested June 5.
  • Carlos Macedo-Pascual, 35, of Paterson. He was arrested June 7. Macedo-Pascual was also accused of recording videos up females’ skirts. He was previously arrested in October 2016 on child porn charges in a separate investigation.
  • Hector C. Romero, 22, of Clifton. He was arrested June 12. Romero was previously arrested in a separate investigation in May 2016 and was serving the custodial portion of his sentence in the Passaic County Jail on the weekends.
  • John Joseph Rodriguez Jr., 53, of Paterson. He was arrested June 14. Detectives found 100,000 additional files of child pornography on two flash drives that belonged to Rodriguez, and more storage devices were taken to be examined.
  • Miguel Guevara, 27, of Clifton. He was arrested June 19. Detectives found an anatomically correct child sex doll in his bedroom.
  • Nicholas McKenna, 37, of Bloomingdale. Detectives found a badge and law enforcement shirt at McKenna's home though he has never worked in law enforcement.

"As a father, nothing is more important than protecting children from sexual predators," Berdnik stated in a press release. "Now that summer break is upon us, it is essential that parents closely monitor the computer use of their children.”
