Homeless man hospitalized after vicious attack in Clifton

CLIFTON – City police are asking for public's help in locating the men who viciously beat a homeless man in Botany Village late July.

Clifton police are seeking multiple suspects who viciously attacked a homeless man on Highland Avenue on June 20. Law enforcement officials said the victim was hospitalized as a result of the severe beating.

On July 20, at about 9:30 p.m., at least two people carried out the aggravated assault of a 39-year-old homeless man in the area of Dayton and Highland avenues, according to police reports.

The man was transported to St. Joe’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson. The attack caused the victim serious bodily injury, Clifton Police Department spokesman Detective Lt. Robert Bracken said

The victim did not know the assailants or their motivation for the assault. Police said the victim only described his attackers as Hispanic males.
