Field hockey: Preseason Top 5 rankings

1. Ramsey – Until proven otherwise, the Rams remain the top team in North Jersey.

2. West Milford – The Highlanders get the nod here as defending Passaic County champs.

3. Northern Highlands – Graduation losses could take their toll but, like Ramsey, until proven otherwise.

4. Wayne Hills – Improved team speed should allow Hills to be more competitive with the upper-echelon teams in North Jersey.

5. Wayne Valley – A healthy Hannah Sikorski and some key returnees will make Wayne Valley dangerous.
