Body found at home of Giants' Janoris Jenkins in Fair Lawn identified as family friend

UPDATE:Brother of Giants' Janoris Jenkins charged in death of Roosevelt Rene
In the basement of New York Giants' cornerback Janoris Jenkins' Fair Lawn home, investigators found the body of a friend and music producer, and questions like what happened and who was involved remain unanswered.
Roosevelt Rene, 25, was confirmed as the man found Tuesday in the Van Saun Place residence, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Rene had been living at the house recently and appeared to work with Jenkins on music ventures, according to several Instagram posts.
The cause of death was not released as of Wednesday morning.
"The manner of death will be determined by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office after a post-mortem exam," said the Prosecutor's Office.

It is not known whether Jenkins was present at the Van Saun Place residence, said Fair Lawn police Sgt. Brian Metzler.
The Giants organization said they believe Jenkins has been at his off-season home in Florida since the team’s minicamp ended June 14.
A spokesperson for the Giants said, “We are aware of and monitoring the situation.”
Rene was a music producer who went by the name Trypps Beatz. On his website he described himself as "a multi-talented" hip-hop producer and artist who was motivated "to enlighten the youth and others to be creative, have self-consciousness and inspire the world with their artistry and Hip-hop culture."
He had more than 1,800 followers on Instagram.
Fair Lawn resident Patti Golick said Jenkins was not home but members of his family do live in the rental house.
“We’re just all very upset. We don’t know anything right now,” she said.

"He's a good guy. He's a perfect neighbor, and you couldn't ask for anyone better," said Golick, who said Jenkins has lived in the home for two years with family. “It was exciting having him here. We’re respectful of his privacy."
Jenkins has played two seasons with the Giants after being selected by the Rams out of North Alabama in in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said in a statement that the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fair Lawn Police Department were investigating.
"The deceased is not the owner of the residence," Calo said. Property records show the house is in the name of Srinivasa Rao Tummalapenta.
Police received a 911 call at 10:22 a.m., Metzler said. The body was removed from the home just before 8 p.m.
